Kristin Davis revealed on her podcast that a Kennedy was nearly cast in a key role for the iconic show’s first sex scene
Wynter, who played a British journalist named Elizabeth, shared that John F. Kennedy’s nephew, Christopher Lawford, was originally cast for the role of her boyfriend. But when it came time to film, he was replaced by Scott Bryce.
Wynter remembered meeting Lawford during a read-through and thought it was perfect to have a Kennedy in the mix. But for some reason, he didn’t end up in the scene. She and Davis are still scratching their heads about what happened.
Lawford, who passed away in 2018, had a pretty interesting life. He was in several films and TV shows and even wrote a book about his struggles with addiction. After he died, his cousin Maria Shriver shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, highlighting his big heart and dedication to helping others.
“Sex and the City” has been a fan favorite for over 25 years. In fact, the owner of the brownstone where Carrie Bradshaw lived is now asking the city for a gate to keep the tourists away. It’s become a hotspot for fans taking pictures, and the owner is just trying to get a little peace and quiet!
