Kelly Ripa shared a wild story about a woman who went into labor without any pregnancy signs, leaving everyone amazed.
Scotland: Can you imagine going into labor without even knowing you were pregnant? That’s exactly what happened to a woman who thought she had appendicitis. On Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa shared this unbelievable story.
She talked about how the woman went to the hospital, thinking something was seriously wrong, only to find out she was about to give birth. And get this—she delivered just 40 minutes later!
Ripa and her co-host Mark Consuelos were both baffled. Ripa joked about how she would have noticed if she were pregnant, like feeling kicks or having a growing belly. They reminisced about their own experiences during pregnancy.
Ripa mentioned that the woman was only 22 years old and joked that maybe that explained her surprise. Doctors had noticed some swelling in her abdomen, but even after a positive pregnancy test, she was still in disbelief.
Ripa could relate, saying she’s had moments of shock when getting unexpected news. The woman thought her appendix was bursting, not that she was in labor!
After the surprise revelation, she gave birth to a healthy 7-pound baby girl. Ripa quipped that if she got pregnant that way, she’d have 18 kids by now!
Mark chimed in, saying it would be nice not to worry for nine months and just suddenly have a baby. The audience laughed, but Ripa insisted she likes to be informed about things.
