Justin Baldoni is suing Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for defamation amid ongoing legal disputes related to their film “It Ends With Us”
Baldoni is looking for a whopping $400 million in damages, saying he’s lost future income because of all this mess. This lawsuit comes right after Lively filed her own suit against Baldoni and others, saying they harassed her and tried to ruin her reputation for speaking out about her experiences on set.
Things got even crazier when Baldoni also sued the New York Times for libel, claiming they teamed up with Lively to tarnish his name. In his new lawsuit, he mentions that they didn’t want to go this route, but Lively left them no choice. They feel it’s important to clear the air and highlight the issues in Hollywood that they’ve been fighting against.
Meanwhile, an email to Leslie Sloane, who represents both Lively and Reynolds, hasn’t been answered yet. It’s worth noting that WME, the agency representing both actors, dropped Baldoni after Lively’s initial complaint and the Times’ article about the whole situation.
This film, based on Colleen Hoover’s novel, has really stirred things up in Hollywood, sparking conversations about how female actors are treated both on set and in the media.
