In a funny moment from RHONY, Jenna Lyons struggles to remember Rebecca Minkoff’s name during a synchronized swimming activity
New York City: This week on The Real Housewives of New York City, Jenna Lyons tries to unite the group with synchronized swimming. It’s a wild trip to Puerto Rico, and tensions are high.
Brynn Whitfield has been clashing with everyone. She had a showdown with Jessel Taank after Erin Lichy spilled the tea about a photoshoot line-cutting incident. Things got heated with Rebecca Minkoff too, but they ended up having a decent chat. There was even a moment in a sprinter van where Ubah Hassan seemed to accuse Brynn of using some shady tactics to get on the show.
But in this episode, all that drama fades away as Lyons gets everyone to join in on the swimming fun. “I fell in love with synchronized swimming in sixth grade,” she shares in a clip. “If there was a gay synchronized swimming team, I’d be first in line.”
What’s hilarious is that Lyons still can’t get Minkoff’s name right. “Brynn and Jessel will start to touch our hands and then Rachel—” she starts, only for Minkoff to shout, “I’m not fucking Rachel! You are an Alzheimer’s patient!”
This isn’t a one-time thing for Lyons. In a flashback, she admits she’s called Minkoff “Rachel” three times already. Minkoff, in her confessional, corrects her, saying, “My name is Rebecca. R-E-B-E-C-C-A. Not Rachel.” Meanwhile, Whitfield chimes in with, “Also known as Boring Becky.”
Luckily, Lyons isn’t alone in her love for synchronized swimming. Racquel Chevremont shares her excitement, recalling how she used to create swim routines as a kid. “I’d make my poor mother watch because I had no siblings,” she laughs.
The episode wraps up with the group attempting their own synchronized routine. Don’t miss The Real Housewives of New York City airing Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo, with new episodes streaming the next day on Peacock.
