Jenna Bush Hager and Taraji P. Henson defend Blue Ivy’s gown after online criticism, praising its elegance and appropriateness for the young star.

New York: No one messes with Blue Ivy.
Jenna Bush Hager and Taraji P. Henson jumped to defend Blue Ivy Carter’s stunning gold gown at the “Mufasa: The Lion King” premiere. Some online trolls were questioning if the look was “age appropriate.”
Christian Siriano, who designed the gorgeous strapless metallic dress, joined the conversation on Monday’s episode of “Today with Jenna & Friends.” Both Hager and Henson praised the gown.
“It’s so beautiful,” Henson said. “I thought she was age appropriate. She looked like a princess!”
Bush Hager, 43, agreed wholeheartedly, saying, “For anybody that says differently, we say bye bye.”
Henson added, “People need to shut up! It was very classy.”
Siriano shared that he and his team had just two days to whip up the gown, aiming to make the 13-year-old look like royalty.
“What girl doesn’t want to have a princess moment?” Siriano asked. “And when your parents are Beyoncé and Jay-Z, what are you supposed to wear? A doily?”
Henson reminded everyone that Blue Ivy is still just a child and encouraged folks to keep their opinions to themselves. “Kindness really matters,” she said.
Bush Hager noted that the dress matched the color themes of the film, making it perfect for the occasion. “It was very appropriate,” she concluded.
Initially, Blue Ivy faced some backlash online, with critics calling the dress “inappropriate.”
Other celebrities, like Sherri Shepherd and Christina Milian, also defended her look.
At the premiere, Tina Knowles, Jay-Z, and Beyoncé were there to support Blue Ivy. Beyoncé, who voiced Queen Nala in the film, shared her pride in an Instagram post, calling Blue Ivy her “gorgeous baby girl.”
