The legendary Jeff Beck’s guitars will be showcased in London before their auction in January 2024

Christie’s held a preview on Tuesday for the collection of the late Jeff Beck, who passed away in January 2023 at 78. Starting Wednesday, folks can check out 90 guitars and many other items that belonged to him. The public can see them until they go on sale on January 22.
Beck was part of the legendary 1960s guitar scene alongside Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Jimi Hendrix. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice, once with the Yardbirds and again as a solo artist. Known for his unique sound, he played with stars like Rod Stewart, David Bowie, and Tina Turner.
The collection is valued at over 1 million pounds, which is about $1.2 million. It includes a stunning 1954 Gibson Les Paul that Beck bought in Memphis back in 1972. This guitar was featured on the cover of his Grammy-winning album “Blow by Blow” and is expected to fetch between 350,000 and 500,000 pounds at auction.
Other notable items include a Tele-Gib hybrid guitar valued at 100,000 to 150,000 pounds and Beck’s 1954 Sunburst Fender Stratocaster, which is expected to sell for 50,000 to 80,000 pounds.
Beck’s widow, Sandra, shared that it’s tough to let go of the collection but believes Jeff would want her to share his love for music with others.
