Middletown: JD Vance’s mom, Beverly Aikins, is not letting a health scare keep her from the inauguration. She was in the hospital recently but is ready to go.

Beverly had some heart issues and even had hernia surgery in late December. She shared on Facebook that her son visited her, making sure she got the best care possible.

She got out of the hospital on January 9 and is all set to head to Washington, D.C. for the big day. In her post, she said, “My recovery is slow, but I have an inauguration to attend on January 20. Nothing will stop me from being there.”

Beverly has been a strong supporter of JD throughout his campaign. She was at the Republican National Convention when he was announced as Trump’s running mate and even attended his first solo rally in Middletown.

Recently, she asked the city council to honor her son with road signs, which they unveiled just before the inauguration.

Fun fact: Beverly was portrayed by Amy Adams in the Netflix movie based on JD’s memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy.”

Vance’s spokesperson hasn’t commented yet, but it’s clear his mom is ready to cheer him on.
