Jayden Daniels Leads Commanders to Stunning 45-31 Victory Over Lions

Detroit: Wow, what a game! Jayden Daniels really shined for the Commanders. He threw two touchdowns and played flawlessly. The Commanders took down the Lions 45-31, making it to the NFC championship for the first time in 33 years.

The Commanders were the underdogs, but they didn’t let that stop them. They faced a Lions team that was the top seed and a Super Bowl favorite. But Detroit struggled, turning the ball over five times, which really hurt their chances.

Rookie Mike Sainristil made some big plays with two interceptions, including one on a trick play. Quan Martin even returned a pick for a touchdown! Jared Goff had a tough night too, throwing three picks and losing a fumble in the first half.

Daniels ended the night with 299 passing yards and 51 rushing yards, and he didn’t turn the ball over at all. Coach Dan Quinn has really turned things around for Washington, leading them to their first playoff win in 19 years last week.

The Commanders were on fire, especially in the second quarter, where they outscored the Lions 28-14. That’s the highest-scoring quarter in NFL playoff history! What a night for Washington!
