A Jacksonville resident wins $1 million in the 500X The Cash scratch-off game

Jacksonville: A local guy just hit the jackpot! Joseph Devin Martin, 35, scored a cool $1 million playing the 500X The Cash scratch-off game. He bought his winning ticket at a Gate station on Collins Road.
On October 1, he decided to take home a lump sum of $640,000. Not too shabby, right? Florida law gives winners 90 days to claim their prizes, so he’s got some time before his name is officially released.
The 500X The Cash game is pretty popular, with a top prize of $25 million. So far, only one of those has been claimed, but there are still 95 $1 million prizes waiting for lucky players.
Just a few weeks ago, two other guys from Ponte Vedra Beach also cashed in their $1 million tickets for the same game. Walter Sheard, 77, got his ticket from Publix, while Natwar Patel, 67, picked his up at a gas station in Middleburg.
And it doesn’t stop there! Just a week before Joseph’s win, another player, Dale Rosato, also claimed a $1 million prize from the same game in Jacksonville. Seems like luck is in the air!
