Los Angeles: So, the movie September 5 is hitting theaters this weekend. It’s been a bit of a buzz since it lost the Golden Globe to The Brutalist for Best Motion Picture – Drama.

Directed by Tim Fehlbaum, this film dives into the tragic 1972 attack on the Israeli Olympic team. It’s a heavy story, showing how two athletes were killed and nine taken hostage by the Black September group during the Munich Olympics. The film gives us a unique view through the lens of the ABC Sports news team, even using real footage from the event.

Peter Sarsgaard plays ABC Sports President Roone Arledge, while Ben Chaplin and John Magaro take on key roles. If you’re itching to watch it, you’ll need to know where to catch September 5 and when it might stream on Paramount+.

Right now, you can only see September 5 in theaters, starting January 17. It had a limited release on December 13, but no online streaming options are available yet.

As for Netflix or Prime Video? Nope, it’s not streaming there. Since it’s a Paramount release, it’ll likely end up on Paramount+ instead. You might be able to buy it on Prime Video later, but it won’t be free with a Prime subscription anytime soon.

We don’t have a streaming date for Paramount+ yet, but if it follows the pattern of other films, we might see it on digital around February 2025 and on Paramount+ by March 2025. But that’s just a guess! If you want to see it now, your best bet is to catch it in theaters.
