Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian will not obstruct a ceasefire in Gaza despite heavy losses to proxies like Hezbollah
Pezeshkian, who took office after his predecessor’s tragic death, spoke in a calm manner. He mentioned that while Iran would respond to any attacks on its nuclear facilities, they don’t want war. He believes conflict would harm everyone involved.
He also pointed fingers at the U.S. for the breakdown of a previous nuclear deal, claiming Iran had upheld its end of the bargain. Pezeshkian dismissed accusations that Iran was behind any assassination attempts on Trump, calling it a foreign plot to stir up fear against Iran.
He reiterated that Iran is not pursuing nuclear weapons, despite claims from various countries. He argued that their actions have always been peaceful. Lastly, he downplayed the idea that Iran faced significant losses in its recent conflicts, asserting that the country remains strong and secure.
