Apple users are frustrated as a glitch leaves alarms silent, causing delays.
New York: You snooze, you lose, right? Well, not if your iPhone alarm decides to take a day off. Apple users are buzzing about a glitch that’s making them late for work.
Apparently, some folks have been dealing with alarms that just won’t ring. This has been going on for almost nine months now, ever since Apple said they were on it.
Reports say this issue has been around since at least last April. Some users are still experiencing alarms that either don’t ring at all or go off silently. Can you imagine waking up late because your phone just decided to be quiet?
One Reddit user shared a story about their alarm going off over two hours late. They had it set for 10:30 a.m., but it didn’t ring until 12:42 p.m. That’s a serious snooze button fail!
Others chimed in, saying they’ve had similar experiences. One person mentioned waking up two hours late, only to find their alarm had been silent the whole time. Talk about a rough morning!
Another user said their alarm was going off for 40 minutes without making a sound. That’s just frustrating! They’ve had multiple days where they were late because their phone was on silent mode, even though the alarm screen was up.
People are using different iOS versions, including the latest updates, but the problem persists. Some tried turning off the “Attention Aware Features,” which lowers the alarm volume if it detects your face, but that didn’t help most users.
If you’re having this issue, you might want to check your alert volume. Go to “Sounds and Haptics” in Settings and crank that slider all the way up.
We’ve reached out to Apple for a comment, but it seems like this glitch is still causing chaos for many.
