Scranton: The ice festivals are back! Jennifer Saunders, who runs a cafe in Scranton, is all set for the Downtown on Ice event. She’s got a cool ice sculpture of Mary Poppins ready to go in front of her cafe.

This festival kicks off Friday and runs through the weekend. There will be over 45 ice sculptures spread across 30 blocks. It’s a great way to enjoy some family fun, check out performances, and grab some shopping deals.

Downtown on Ice: Ice. Camera. Action starts Friday evening and goes until Sunday. Clarks Summit will have its own festival the following weekend, featuring an ocean theme.

At her cafe, Saunders is excited to show off her Mary Poppins window display. She’s a big fan of Julie Andrews and hopes her creations bring joy to visitors. Plus, she’s adding a special drink to the menu called London fog.

There will be curling, an ice bar, and even a virtual reality ice carving activity this year. A giant ice structure will be carved during the day on Friday, creating a perfect selfie spot.

Live ice carving will happen throughout the weekend, and there will be entertainment like jugglers and princesses roaming around. Don’t forget to join the digital scavenger hunt for some fun prizes!

In Clarks Summit, the Festival of Ice: Under the Sea will feature a parade and displays of aquatic creatures. It’s all about enjoying winter in a fun and festive way!
