A TikTok user sparks debate over the connection between gifted programs and CIA training.

Anna Mills, who goes by @annamillsxo23 on TikTok, is at the center of this buzz. She’s been sharing old schoolwork and assignments from her childhood, and it’s got people talking.
In her videos, she flips through a binder filled with assignments from the ’90s. She’s like, “What were we being trained for?” It’s a fair question, right?
These gifted programs have always had students working on different stuff, but Mills’ worksheets are raising eyebrows. They included things like code-breaking, graph plotting, and even learning sign language and Russian.
A lot of the lessons focused on creative problem-solving, and some even mentioned aliens or Russian culture. This has led some to think there’s a link to the CIA’s Gateway Program from the ’80s, which was all about exploring human consciousness.
People are sharing their own experiences too. One TikTok user, Rachel, recalled taking meditation-type tests with audio tapes. It’s all a bit eerie, especially since many former students can’t remember much about their time in these programs.
Some are even questioning why their memories are so fuzzy. “Why do most of us only ‘faintly’ remember any of it?” one person asked.
While the theories are intriguing, there’s no solid proof that these gifted programs were connected to the CIA. It’s just a fascinating conversation starter for now.
