California Governor Gavin Newsom is under fire for a bizarre shimmy during a TV interview about the LA fire crisis
While standing in front of the fire damage, he started doing a shoulder dance while discussing how property speculators might take advantage of the situation. It was a bit odd, to say the least.
He was chatting with a local Fox reporter when he broke into this shimmy, grinning like it was a party instead of a crisis. People online had a field day with it, posting memes and comments about how inappropriate it seemed.
One guy even joked that he wasn’t worried about developers until he saw Newsom dancing while talking about them buying up burned properties. Another commentator called it bizarre, questioning what was going on with the governor.
On top of all this, Newsom is facing a recall effort, with papers expected to be served soon. Critics are saying his leadership has made life tough for Californians, especially with the current fire crisis.
