Des Moines: Gov. Kim Reynolds is set to share her 2025 legislative plans during her Condition of the State address. It’s happening at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14.

You can catch the speech live on Iowa PBS. The Des Moines Register will also stream it on their website, mobile apps, YouTube, and Facebook.

The Iowa Legislature kicked off its 2025 session on Monday. Republican leaders are prioritizing property tax cuts this year.

Reynolds’ address will give us a sneak peek into her policy agenda and proposed budget. She’ll be speaking from the Iowa House chamber, which is always a big deal.

So far, she’s mentioned plans to ban cellphone use in K-12 classrooms and improve access to rural and maternal health care. However, she hasn’t gone into detail about her other priorities yet.

Last year, she proposed changes to education agencies, a pay raise for teachers, and tax cuts for Iowans.
