Sam McCarthy shares his surprise over the realistic plants in Goosebumps: The Vanishing
Los Angeles: So, Sam McCarthy, the star of Goosebumps, was totally freaked out by the props on set. He couldn’t believe how real the plants looked for the new season of the show.
The series, based on RL Stine’s classic books, is back with a new episode called The Vanishing. It’s all about twins Devin and Cece, who move in with their dad, played by David Schwimmer, and get into some spooky stuff.
They’re warned not to mess with their dad’s crazy collection of plants, which turned out to be even cooler than they expected. Sam shared that one plant looked like a weird alien mushroom without the cap, and he thought it was fake at first.
But here’s the kicker: every single plant in the basement was real! Jayden Bartels, his co-star, confirmed it, and Sam was just blown away. He said he thought they were all plastic until he touched one and realized it was alive!
They joked about how that moment should have been filmed because it was so genuine. Sam was really curious about the plants and even said he’d want one at home if they didn’t freak him out so much.
And it’s not just the plants that are creepy. The new series is packed with ghosts and ghouls, so fans should definitely tune in this Friday to catch all the thrills!
Goosebumps: The Vanishing premieres on January 10 on Disney+ and Hulu.
