New York: So, Ryan Cowden is making a move from the Giants to the Patriots. It’s not because of any drama, though. He’s just reuniting with Mike Vrabel, his old buddy from their time with the Titans.

Cowden has been with the Giants for two years, working as an executive advisor to GM Joe Schoen. The Giants are letting him go, which is pretty cool of them. The Patriots don’t have a traditional GM, but Cowden will find his place there.

Vrabel is expected to have a big say in player decisions, which is a bit different from the usual setup. Cowden and Schoen go way back to their days in Carolina, where they were scouts together.

Interestingly, Cowden was even a candidate for the Titans’ GM job after Jon Robinson got fired, but they went with someone else. The Giants had a rough season, but Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll are sticking around, which Cowden was part of.

Now, Cowden heads to a team with the No. 4 pick in the upcoming draft, while the Giants are eyeing a quarterback with their No. 3 pick. It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out!
