Gary Neville criticizes Eriksen and Casemiro for poor performance as Manchester United falls behind early against Newcastle
The game kicked off, and within five minutes, United was already down two goals. Alexander Isak scored first, heading the ball past Andre Onana. Then, Joelinton made it 2-0 with another header.
As Newcastle celebrated, Neville didn’t hold back. He pointed out how Eriksen and Casemiro looked like “mannequins” on the field. He said they shouldn’t be playing together in the Premier League, especially given their ages.
The goals were pretty easy for Newcastle, and Neville highlighted how the defense just wasn’t alert. Maguire was focused on Isak, completely missing Joelinton’s run.
The atmosphere at Old Trafford was tense, especially when fans ironically cheered for Joshua Zirkzee as he was subbed off. He even left the pitch with his hood up, looking pretty frustrated.
With this loss, United is stuck in the bottom half of the table, and their next match is against Liverpool. Things aren’t looking great for them right now.
