Manchester: Danny Welbeck has had quite the journey in football. He spent over ten years at Manchester United before making a big move to Arsenal in 2014. It was a significant change, and he did it for around £16 million.

During his time at United, he played under Sir Alex Ferguson and made nearly 150 appearances, scoring 29 goals. But despite all that success, he never got to lift the FA Cup with them. They fell short in the semi-finals a couple of times while he was there.

Once he joined Arsenal, things changed. Welbeck won the FA Cup twice, first in 2015 and again in 2017. One of his standout moments was scoring the winning goal against United in the quarter-finals of the 2015 FA Cup. It was a bittersweet moment for him, as he grew up a United fan.

He played a crucial role in Arsenal’s success, even if he missed the final in 2015 due to injury. But he was back for the 2017 final, helping the Gunners secure another trophy.

Interestingly, before he became a Red, City had a chance to sign him as a kid but turned him down. He ended up at United’s academy and never looked back.

Now, as he approaches his 35th birthday, Welbeck has had a solid career, racking up nearly 350 Premier League appearances and scoring 73 goals. While he may have mixed feelings about knocking United out of the FA Cup, his move to Arsenal certainly paid off with those two winner’s medals.
