Fort Worth: So, there was another officer-involved shooting today. This one happened around noon, and thankfully, no one got hurt. It’s the second one in just eight hours.

Police got calls about a guy with a gun outside an apartment complex on John T. White Road. People were scared, and one even said the guy pointed a gun at him.

When the officers showed up, they spotted the man in the parking lot. He pulled a gun from his waistband and took off running. An officer, worried for her safety and others, fired her weapon several times but didn’t hit him.

The guy kept running and ended up barricading himself in an apartment. The police set up a perimeter and eventually took him into custody. They found a gun and a rifle at the scene.

No injuries were reported, and the Major Case Unit is looking into this along with Internal Affairs. Just earlier today, there was another shooting where officers fatally shot a man who charged at them with a knife. What a day for Fort Worth police!
