A Florida housekeeper was arrested after assaulting her elderly employer over a denied Christmas bonus, leading to theft and multiple charges against her.

Brevard County: Can you believe this? A 29-year-old housekeeper named Heather Nelson got herself into serious trouble over a Christmas bonus. It all went down on Christmas Eve when her 83-year-old boss told her she couldn’t pay the bonus.
Heather didn’t take it well. She got really angry and decided to take matters into her own hands. According to the sheriff’s office, she physically grabbed the elderly woman’s checkbook and stole a check right out of it. Talk about a Grinch move!
But it didn’t stop there. She also swiped some Christmas cards that had checks in them, too. The sheriff even joked about her actions, saying, “What’s next … kick her dog, too?” It’s wild how far she went just because she wanted that bonus.
After the theft, Heather wrote herself a check for $1,400 and used the victim’s credit card for her own expenses. She was finally caught on January 7 when the bank transactions came through. The sheriff had some snarky comments about her being worried about her bonus, saying they had some “extra gifts” for her, like a booking photo.
Now, she’s facing a bunch of serious charges, including robbery and grand theft. She was held on a $30,000 bond but got out a couple of days later. What a crazy story!
