The Chicago Fire are reportedly in early discussions to bring Neymar to MLS

Interestingly, Inter Miami isn’t in the mix. Their new manager, Javier Mascherano, mentioned that adding Neymar would be “impossible” due to MLS rules.
But hold on! Sources from ESPN in Brazil say not to get too excited about Neymar coming to MLS. If he does make the jump, he’s still dreaming of teaming up with Messi and Suárez in Miami.
When ESPN reached out, the Fire didn’t have much to say.
Neymar, who’s 32, has had a rough time at Al Hilal since moving there from PSG for a whopping $97.6 million in 2023. He hurt his knee while playing for Brazil right after joining the club.
He got back on the field in October, but a hamstring issue has kept him from really making an impact. So far, he’s only played seven times and scored once in October 2023.
Even without him, Al Hilal managed to win the Saudi Pro League last season.
Neymar’s contract runs until June 2025, so he can start talking to other teams about a new deal soon. He’s still a huge name in soccer, thanks to his time with Messi and Suárez at Barcelona from 2013 to 2017.
