Governor Parson bids farewell to Missourians as his administration wraps up today

Jefferson City: This weekend, Governor Mike Parson took to social media to say goodbye to the people of Missouri. His administration officially ends today at noon.
In his heartfelt message, he expressed gratitude for the chance to serve over six million Missourians. He shared how much he enjoyed connecting with folks across the state and emphasized the good people he met along the way.
Parson also reassured everyone that they are in capable hands with incoming Governor Mike Kehoe and First Lady Claudia Kehoe. As he steps down, he looks forward to spending time with family and maybe causing a little mischief on the farm.
Today marks the transition to the 58th Governor, Mike Kehoe, who has a full day of inauguration events planned. The festivities kick off at 11:30 a.m. with a welcome from Andy Blunt, followed by a joint session of the Missouri General Assembly.
Key moments include the oath of office for Governor Kehoe at noon, a 19-gun salute, and an inaugural address shortly after. There will also be a performance by the Missouri Army National Guard Band and a meet-and-greet at the Governor’s Mansion.
If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry! The inauguration will be live-streamed on social media and the state’s website, so everyone can join in the celebration.
