The CU Buffs faced another defeat, falling to Oklahoma State 83-73, extending their Big 12 losing streak to six games.
The Buffs struggled with turnovers, giving the ball away 16 times, and they were out-rebounded 36-23. Oklahoma State capitalized on this, scoring 22 second-chance points. Coach Tad Boyle pointed out that they knew what they had to do to win but just didn’t execute.
Even with RJ Smith and Elijah Malone back in the lineup, the Buffs couldn’t find their rhythm. They shot poorly from beyond the arc, hitting just 5 of 22 attempts. The free throw line was a bright spot, as they made 22 of 25, but it wasn’t enough to overcome OSU’s strong performance.
The Buffs trailed 43-33 at halftime but showed some fight early in the second half. They even cut the lead to four points at one point. But the Cowboys pulled away, and the Buffs just couldn’t keep up.
Next up, the Buffs will host Brigham Young on Tuesday night. They really need to turn things around if they want to get back in the win column.
