On January 16, head to Faith Lutheran Church in Arlington for a unique ‘doga’ class. You’ll practice yoga with adorable rescue puppies, and the best part? Some of them will be available for adoption!
Then, on January 24, The Urban Grape wine store is hosting a wellness night. Join yoga instructor Ali Nettles for a 75-minute stretching session followed by a tasting of nonalcoholic drinks. Perfect for those doing Dry January!
On January 25, you can pump up your muscles at an Alexandria brewery with E60 trainers. They’ll guide you through a total body workout, and afterward, you can celebrate with a drink for just $10.
If you’re up for something different, there’s an aerial wellness workshop on the same day at 905 U St. NW. You’ll learn some cool flipping techniques and then enjoy some charcuterie and drinks with the group.
On February 1, Lost Boy Cider is hosting a guided meditation with bunnies. Bring your mat for a 45-minute session of bunny-petting and relaxation, all while supporting a local rabbit rescue.
Mark your calendars for February 15 and 16 for goat yoga at Faith Lutheran Church. Goats from Walnut Creek Farm will join you during the class, making it a fun and interactive experience.
On February 23, get creative at a mixed-media art workshop at the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington. You’ll use your whole body to create art and explore your emotions through drawing and painting.
Also on February 23, join a guided yoga flow class at the National Building Museum. Stretch under the stunning columns while enjoying a calming sound experience.
Finally, on March 15, take a scenic hike through Rock Creek Park with yoga instructor Kristen Zory King. You’ll walk 2.5 miles, sharing poems and practicing creative journaling along the way.
