AJ Brown was seen reading a book on the sideline during the Eagles’ playoff game, showcasing a unique sideline moment.
The Fox broadcast even caught him deep into “INNER EXCELLENCE: Train Your Mind for Extraordinary Performance and the Best Possible Life” by Jim Murphy. It was a wild-card round game, and Brown wasn’t really part of the passing action, so he turned to his book to keep his mind off things.
Fox’s Kevin Burkhardt mentioned how Brown seemed a bit frustrated since he wasn’t getting many targets. And then Tom Brady, the commentator, joked about how it’s not every day you see a player reading on the sidelines. He even referenced that time Mark Sanchez was caught munching on a hot dog during a game.
After the game, Brown explained that he always brings this book with him. He said it gives him peace and that his teammates call it his “recipe.” He’s been reading it for a while, and it’s packed with mental tips.
In the game, he only made one catch for 10 yards, but the Eagles won and are moving on to the next round. Pretty cool, right?
