In his inaugural address, Trump shared bold plans for America’s future, focusing on restoring national pride and economic strength.
Washington: In a 30-minute speech after his inauguration, President Donald Trump promised a new “golden age” for America. He talked about restoring the country’s strength and global standing.
He painted a picture of America in decline, saying it’s facing challenges from all sides. Trump declared that January 20, 2025, would be a day of liberation for Americans.
He shared his journey back to power, mentioning a near-assassination at a rally in Pennsylvania. Trump emphasized that he believes he survived for a purpose: to make America great again.
His agenda is packed. He plans to tackle immigration and military issues right from day one. He also wants to create new government agencies, including one led by Elon Musk.
Trump believes tariffs will bring in huge revenue and help revive the American dream. He’s all about boosting manufacturing and energy sectors to combat inflation.
He promised to take immediate actions, like declaring a national emergency at the southern border and reinstating military members dismissed over vaccine mandates.
Trump also mentioned reversing decisions made by previous administrations, like renaming Mount McKinley back to its original name and declaring there are only two genders.
He expressed a desire to expand U.S. territory and even hinted at sending astronauts to Mars. However, he didn’t mention any plans for pardoning those involved in the January 6 Capitol attack, which many expected.
