Los Angeles: Dean Cain, the actor from “Superman,” shared some tough news about the wildfires in LA. He grew up in Malibu and said all the homes he lived in there and in Pacific Palisades are now gone. It’s heartbreaking to see the destruction.

He described Pacific Palisades as looking like a nuclear bomb hit it. Cain had three homes there, and they’re all just ashes now. He’s never seen anything like it. The devastation is shocking, but he feels it was somewhat expected due to poor management and leadership.

Cain recalled how his house survived the Woolsey Fire in 2018, but he lost his fire insurance afterward. He moved to Henderson, Nevada, partly because of the high costs and policies in California. He mentioned that many people, including Trump, have warned about the consequences of mismanagement in fire budgets.

He directly blamed Governor Gavin Newsom for the situation, saying there was enough water available last year. Cain’s water bills were sky-high, and he couldn’t find affordable fire insurance. His son helped him realize it was time to leave California due to the frustrating policies.

Now in Nevada, he feels relieved and sees the difference in policies. He’s horrified by the current disaster but hopes it will wake people up to vote for better policies. Cain believes that when people experience hardship, their views can change, especially regarding support for police and firefighters.

He’s been preparing for emergencies, keeping supplies in his car and having satellite radios. He’s not a survivalist, just practical. Despite the tragedy, he’s seen the American spirit shine through as people come together to help those affected.

Cain reflected on the long road ahead for those impacted by the fires. He can’t believe how much of his childhood in the Palisades is gone, including his old high school. His mother is devastated, and he feels grateful for his decision to move to Nevada, where life is easier and policies are better. He’s relieved to have escaped just in time.
