Now in Nevada, he feels relieved and sees the difference in policies. He’s horrified by the current disaster but hopes it will wake people up to vote for better policies. Cain believes that when people experience hardship, their views can change, especially regarding support for police and firefighters.
He’s been preparing for emergencies, keeping supplies in his car and having satellite radios. He’s not a survivalist, just practical. Despite the tragedy, he’s seen the American spirit shine through as people come together to help those affected.
Cain reflected on the long road ahead for those impacted by the fires. He can’t believe how much of his childhood in the Palisades is gone, including his old high school. His mother is devastated, and he feels grateful for his decision to move to Nevada, where life is easier and policies are better. He’s relieved to have escaped just in time.
