North Woodstock: The Ice Castles are back in New Hampshire and other states, and they’re just as impressive as ever. These stunning ice structures are made from thousands of icicles, all arranged into towers, tunnels, and caves. It’s like stepping into a winter wonderland!

The company started this magical experience back in 2011 and has grown since then. Now, they have locations in Utah, Minnesota, and two spots in Colorado, plus New Hampshire, where you can also enjoy snow tubing and an ice bar.

After a warm winter last year, everyone was excited that the cold weather allowed them to open earlier this season. Jared Henningsen, the company’s VP, mentioned that this year’s castle is one of their biggest yet, with around 25 million pounds of ice spread over two acres.

As a winter storm hit the South, visitors in New Hampshire bundled up to explore the beautiful ice formations. Julia Jones from Gloucester, Massachusetts, was amazed on her first visit, saying she had never seen anything like it before.

Jessica Sullivan from Fairhaven, Massachusetts, was also surprised—not just by the ice but because her boyfriend proposed to her there! She said it was a beautiful place for such a special moment.

During the day, the ice glows a soft blue, but at night, it lights up in pink, purple, and green, creating a truly immersive experience. Henningsen believes it inspires people, and it’s easy to see why!
