Dave Portnoy expresses excitement over Mike Vrabel’s hiring as Patriots head coach in a lively video

In his video, he shouted, “Mikey Vrabel, Mikey Vrabel coming back home! We’re back!” It’s clear he’s ready for some serious competition.
Portnoy even followed up with a cheeky “Super Bowl #7 loading!!!” after the Patriots announced Vrabel as their new head coach. This marks a big moment for the franchise, as Vrabel is their 16th head coach.
He played for the Patriots from 2001 to 2008, winning three Super Bowls. He takes over from Jerod Mayo, who had a rough first season with a 4-13 record.
Before this, Vrabel coached the Titans from 2018 to 2023 and was recently a consultant with the Browns. He also had talks with the Bears and Jets before settling with New England.
The Patriots will officially introduce him in a press conference on Monday. Meanwhile, other teams are still looking for coaches, with the Bears and Raiders making headlines. It’s an exciting time in the NFL!
