Flushing: It looks like the construction at 136-15 38th Avenue has hit a snag. This place is supposed to be a nine-story mixed-use building, designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio.

The building is set to be pretty big, covering almost 24,000 square feet. It’s supposed to have ten condos, each around 1,730 square feet, plus a good chunk of commercial and community space.

Recent photos show the concrete structure is up, but it’s just sitting there with orange netting on top. Some interior work has started, like framing and plumbing, but they haven’t even touched the façade yet. The design shows a lot of glass and light gray panels, with nice balconies and a landscaped terrace on top.

This site used to have two old commercial buildings, which were torn down. The nearest subway is the 7 train at Flushing-Main Street, so it’s pretty accessible.

Originally, they planned to finish this place by winter 2024, but now it’s anyone’s guess when they’ll get back to work. Let’s hope they figure it out soon!
