Lower Hudson Valley braces for cold weather with a chance of snow this week

The National Weather Service says Putnam has about a 20% chance of rain and snow showers on Monday, with highs in the low 40s and winds gusting up to 20 mph.
Looking ahead, it’s going to be cold and windy. In Westchester, Monday should be partly sunny, with similar temperatures and winds. Expect lows in the mid-20s that night.
Tuesday is mostly sunny but chilly, with highs in the low 30s and gusts reaching 30 mph. AccuWeather hints at a possible snow shower in the afternoon and evening for Westchester, while Putnam might see a couple of snow showers overnight. But don’t expect much accumulation—just a dusting to an inch.
Rockland might also get some snow, but the NWS didn’t mention it for Tuesday. They predict mostly cloudy skies that evening, with lows in the lower 20s.
Wednesday looks mostly sunny, with highs in the low 30s and similar winds. Nighttime should be clear, with lows around 20.
As for the weekend, it could be a bit damp. Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance of rain and highs in the mid-40s. Sunday might bring a mix of rain and snow in the afternoon, with a 30% chance of precipitation and highs in the upper 30s.
