Gas prices in the Central Atlantic region have decreased slightly this week, offering some relief to drivers.

Washington: Last week, gas prices in the Central Atlantic region dropped to an average of $3.117 per gallon. That’s down from $3.122 the week before, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
Prices have gone up about 3 cents since last month. Over the past year, they’ve ranged from a low of $3.07 on December 30, 2024, to a high of $3.71 on April 22, 2024.
To put it in perspective, a year ago, the average was $3.25 per gallon, which is 4% higher than now.
For comparison, the average gas price across the U.S. last week was $3.04. So, prices in the Central Atlantic are about 2.4% higher than the national average, which has also seen a slight drop from $3.05.
The EIA tracks prices in several states, including Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
