Casemiro is reportedly ready to leave Manchester United as interest grows from clubs, particularly in Saudi Arabia, for a January transfer.
Manchester: Casemiro’s time at Manchester United seems to be hanging by a thread. The 32-year-old midfielder has had a tough time getting regular playtime under the new coach, Ruben Amorim.
He only made his first start in six Premier League matches during a recent loss to Newcastle, and before that, he barely played 27 minutes in five games. It looks like he’s fallen down the lineup, and now there’s chatter about him possibly leaving.
There’s talk of a move to Saudi Arabia, and Serie A could also be on the cards for the former Real Madrid star, who joined United for a hefty £60 million back in August 2022. He’s made 104 appearances for the club but has just 18 months left on his contract.
According to reports, Casemiro has “agreed” to leave in January, with the Saudi Public Investment Fund keen to sign him. They own several clubs, including Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr, and they’re eager to bring him on board.
It seems Casemiro is ready for a change, which could make it easier for the Saudi group to finalize a deal. Reports suggest there shouldn’t be any major hurdles from United’s side to let him go.
Former United player Kleberson mentioned that Casemiro was improving and could still have a future at Old Trafford. He praised Casemiro for handling pressure well and noted his determination on the field.
Roy Keane, another United legend, advised that Casemiro should be played higher up the pitch to make the most of his attacking skills. He believes Casemiro still has a lot to offer if given the right opportunities.
