Washington D.C.: So, Carrie Underwood had a bit of a mix-up during Donald Trump’s inauguration. She was set to sing “America the Beautiful” right after Trump took the oath of office.

Before starting, she asked the crowd to help her out with the words. It was a sweet moment! She was joined by the Armed Forces Chorus and the Naval Academy Glee Club, and everyone sang along.

Carrie looked stunning in a silver dress and matching earrings, performing right in front of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. After her performance, she shook hands with Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

She was one of several performers at the event, with Lee Greenwood also singing “God Bless The U.S.A” and opera singer Christopher Macchio doing the national anthem. It was quite the lineup!

Greenwood had performed at Trump’s rally the day before, alongside other artists like Kid Rock and Billy Ray Cyrus. Jason Aldean and Rascal Flatts were set to play at the Commander in Chief Ball later on.

Carrie expressed her honor in being part of such a historic event, saying she loves her country and wants to promote unity. But not everyone was thrilled about her performance.

On “The View,” Joy Behar questioned how Carrie could love America while performing for Trump, who has faced serious legal issues. Whoopi Goldberg defended her, saying everyone has their reasons for performing.

Lee Greenwood also backed Carrie, saying people should just appreciate her performance for the new president. Carrie has kept her political views pretty private, saying she tries to stay out of politics because it’s complicated.

She believes it’s not as simple as people make it out to be, and she just wants to focus on her music.
