Cambridge: Late Monday night, a tragic shooting took place. The victim, Angel Nieves, just 21 years old, was shot on Clifton Street around 11:30 p.m. He was rushed to Mount Auburn Hospital but sadly didn’t make it.

The Middlesex District Attorney, Marian Ryan, confirmed his identity on Tuesday. Right now, no arrests have been made, but officials believe this was an isolated incident, so there’s no ongoing threat to the community.

There’s video footage from the scene showing police gathering evidence and markers on the road, along with a jacket and other items scattered about. The investigation is being handled by the local police, the DA’s office, and the state police detective unit.
