Calgary: Three teenagers are in hot water for robbing ten weed stores in 2023. It all started on November 14, just before midnight, when they hit the Four20 cannabis shop on 33 Avenue SW. They assaulted staff and made off with some merchandise and cannabis products.

The police were called right away, but they couldn’t find the suspects at that time. Unfortunately, more robberies followed in the city that month, which got the Calgary Police Service’s Robbery Unit involved. They gathered evidence and identified three suspects they believed were behind the crimes.

On December 11, 2023, police executed search warrants at three homes linked to the suspects. They seized clothing and cellphones, which helped connect the teens to several robberies dating back to February 2023.

Fast forward to October 23, 2024, and one of the 18-year-olds turned himself in. He’s facing four counts of robbery with a firearm. In December 2024, the police charged two other boys, aged 17 and 18, who are still wanted.

These outstanding teens are looking at some serious charges: ten counts of robbery with a prohibited firearm, ten counts of disguise with intent, seven counts of forcible confinement, one count of assault causing bodily harm, and one count of theft of a motor vehicle.

Since they were under 18 when the crimes occurred, their names can’t be released. If anyone knows anything about these incidents, they should reach out to the police at 403-266-1234 or contact CrimeStoppers anonymously.
