Caitlyn Jenner believes California’s leadership failures during wildfires will spark a shift in public opinion across the state

Los Angeles: Caitlyn Jenner, a long-time California resident, thinks the recent wildfires will lead to a change in how people view the state’s leadership. She’s been living in California since 1973 and has seen a lot of ups and downs.
Jenner shared her thoughts on Fox News, saying the state has really declined over the years. She feels that California isn’t the shining example it used to be. Instead of being a leader, it seems to be falling behind.
She pointed out that the way officials handled the wildfires shows some serious weaknesses in leadership. Jenner believes that shining a light on these issues is crucial for change. She compared the politicians’ responses to a game of “whack-a-mole,” where they only react to problems as they pop up.
Jenner also criticized Governor Gavin Newsom’s approach to the wildfires, mentioning that she has had properties affected by fires multiple times. She feels that the state isn’t proactive enough and is always on the defensive.
She talked about the strong winds that made the fires worse and highlighted California’s ongoing water issues. Jenner reminisced about the California aqueduct project from the 60s, saying that since then, the state has been poorly managed.
With outdated water reserves, California couldn’t store all the rainwater from last year, leading to a lot of wasted resources. Jenner believes that the mismanagement during the wildfires will push California to lean more Republican in the future.
She noted that the political landscape has changed, with fewer blue areas than before. Jenner hopes that the wildfires will make Californians rethink their political choices, as she feels the state is controlled by Democrats who prioritize the wrong things.
