Indianapolis: So, here’s the scoop. Michael Thomas Lewis, a guy from Texas, has been charged with felony stalking. He sent some seriously disturbing messages to Caitlin Clark, who plays for the Fever. This all came to light thanks to local Indiana media.

Lewis made the trip from Texas to Indianapolis and got arrested at a hotel on North Market Street. The police caught up with him after he sent those messages, and he claimed his relationship with Clark was just in his head.

Even after the police talked to him, Lewis kept sending messages from his IP address. It’s a bit scary how persistent he was. Prosecutors figured out where he was staying because of those messages.

Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears praised Clark and the Pacers Sports & Entertainment for their quick action. He pointed out that online harassment can turn into real threats, and it takes a lot of guts for victims to speak up. Mears emphasized that everyone deserves to feel safe, especially in Indy.
