Abington: So, here’s the scoop. Two brothers, Suzito and Antonio Lopes, are in some serious trouble. They were arraigned in Brockton District Court for allegedly beating a 43-year-old guy named Anthony Leverone to death.

The police found Anthony’s body in his backyard after his family got worried when he didn’t show up for his birthday dinner. Turns out, he had been out celebrating his birthday just a few days earlier.

On December 26, he was seen partying at a few places, including the Brockton Café. Video footage shows him getting into a rented car with the Lopes brothers, and blood found in that car matched Anthony’s.

Authorities think he was killed with propane tanks that were found nearby. The motive is still a mystery, and the DA mentioned that they were all together that night.

The brothers’ lawyers are saying the evidence is pretty weak and even questioned if it was really murder. They argued there’s no proof of a premeditated plan or any relationship between Anthony and the brothers.

For now, both brothers are being held without bail and are set to return to court on February 14. This story is still unfolding, so stay tuned for updates!
