The Brother’s Brother Foundation is sending over 250,000 masks to help those affected by wildfires in Southern California
Pittsburgh: A big truck rolled out from the Brother’s Brother Foundation, loaded with supplies for folks hit hard by the wildfires in Southern California. It’s packed with over 254,000 N95 masks, all set to help those in need.
The fires are raging through places like Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles, destroying homes and businesses, and sadly, taking lives too. Ozzy Samad, the foundation’s executive director, expressed how incredible it is to see the community come together during such tough times.
These masks were donated by Allegheny Health Network, a long-time supporter of the foundation. Usually, they send supplies overseas after disasters, but this time, a truck was the best option.
Samad mentioned that with the amount they’re sending, it just makes sense to drive it there. The travel time isn’t as long as you might think, especially since the truckers can go almost directly.
And it’s not just one truck. There’s another one on the way, filled with bottled water and hygiene kits, likely leaving soon. Plus, they’ve got a third truckload coming with microwaves and refrigerators, thanks to another donation.
