New York: Brooke Shields is really diving into the topic of aging. The actress, now 59, is about to drop her memoir, “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old.” It’s all about her experiences with beauty standards in Hollywood.

She recently appeared on “Good Morning America” to chat about what it’s like to grow older in the public eye. Brooke shared some heartfelt thoughts, saying, “It’s important to understand where you’ve been, but I think it’s really joyous to say, ‘I may not know where I’m going, but I’m here.’”

She also joked about wanting to look her best, saying, “I wish things were a little higher and tighter,” while playfully gesturing with her hands. It’s clear she’s embracing her age while also appreciating her two daughters, Rowan and Grier, who are both in their twenties.

Brooke mentioned, “I look at my gorgeous baby girls, and they’re just buoyant.” She’s proud of her journey and believes it’s important to celebrate what you’ve earned over the years.

During the interview, she laughed off some harsh comments from online trolls. One person even said, “I really wish you looked the way you used to.” She took it in stride, saying, “But I thought boy, we’re all so out of touch. We need to find joy in this.”

Brooke also talked about how women need to advocate for themselves. Besides her memoir, she launched a haircare line called Commence, aimed at women over 40. She noticed that as women age, their hair and scalp have different needs.

She explained, “Once you reach this era in your life, you realize all of a sudden your hair and scalp have different needs.” It’s great to see her focusing on what women really need.

Brooke has always been open about the pressures of fame. She’s embracing her wrinkles and wants to focus on living in the moment rather than chasing youth. She said, “I am all for any of it if it truly is done for yourself, for the right reasons.”

When it comes to cosmetic procedures, she’s cautious. “I’m scared of not looking like myself,” she admitted, sharing her experiences with Botox. But she’s open to trying new treatments as long as they help her feel confident.
