DeKalb County has issued a boil water advisory following a water main break on Clairmont Road, affecting several local areas.

The advisory covers areas from Moreland Avenue to Candler Street and Clairmont Avenue, stretching down to Mason Mill and up to Hosea Williams.
As of early Wednesday, crews are still working hard to fix the break. It’s caused a pretty noticeable hole in the road, which isn’t great for traffic.
Local business owners are feeling the pinch too. One shop owner, Jan Bolgla from Atlanta Vintage Books, expressed concern about how customers can reach them while the repairs are going on.
She mentioned that it’s a bit surprising to see a hole in the street and worries it might keep people away. They’re still open, but folks might have to take a detour down Manville to get there.
Jan also shared that the repairs are expected to take all day, which is tough for small businesses that rely on daily foot traffic. Missing a whole day of customers can really hurt.
