Cape Canaveral: So, Blue Origin had to call off the launch of their New Glenn rocket early Monday. It was supposed to be a big deal, but they ran into some tech trouble right before takeoff.

The rocket, which is a whopping 320 feet tall, was all set to launch a prototype satellite. But in those final countdown minutes, something went wrong. They didn’t specify what the issue was, but they had to stop the countdown and drain all the fuel from the rocket.

They haven’t announced a new launch date yet, saying they need more time to figure things out. This launch had already faced delays due to rough seas, which made it tricky to land the booster on a floating platform in the Atlantic.

By the way, New Glenn is named after John Glenn, the first American to orbit Earth. It’s five times taller than their New Shepard rocket, which takes people to the edge of space from Texas.

Jeff Bezos, who started Blue Origin 25 years ago, was there for the countdown. He mentioned that no matter what happens, they’ll keep pushing forward. So, fingers crossed for next time!
