A bunch of celebrities living in L.A. are stepping up to help those affected.
Beyoncé announced a Fire Relief Fund through her charity, BEY Good, with a whopping $2.5 million to support victims of the Eaton fire. She shared on Instagram, “Los Angeles, we stand with you.” The fund will help families in the Altadena/Pasadena area and support local churches and community centers.
Paris Hilton, who lost her own home in Malibu, is also doing her part. She’s launched an emergency fund for families in need, matching the first $100,000 donated and contributing $100,000 herself. She expressed her concern for families with young kids, saying, “I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies.”
Selena Gomez is quietly making a big impact too. Although she hasn’t announced her donation, the CEO of Direct Relief confirmed she gave $5 million to their Wildfire Relief Fund. She shared a message on her Instagram, urging people to seek help if they need it.
Jamie Lee Curtis is also in the mix, pledging $1 million to support victims. She’s been in touch with local officials to ensure the funds go where they’re needed most.
Kylie Jenner hasn’t revealed how much she’ll donate, but she’s committed to helping. She expressed her support on Instagram, saying they’re making a donation to the California Fire Foundation’s Wildfire & Disaster Relief Fund.
It’s heartwarming to see so many people come together during such a tough time.
