Ben Stiller discusses his separation from Christine Taylor and their eventual reunion during the pandemic
He mentioned that the separation gave him space to reflect on their relationship and how much he valued their family. Even though they were apart for three or four years, he always felt a connection to her.
Stiller and Taylor, who tied the knot in 2000, have two kids: Ella, 22, and Quinlin, 19. He joked that during the pandemic, they ended up living together again, which helped them reconnect.
He said it took almost a year of living in the same house before they truly got back together. Stiller feels grateful for this second chance, noting that many couples don’t reunite after a split.
After they got back together, he told Esquire that it was a wonderful experience for their family. Taylor also shared her thoughts on reconnecting during an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
She explained that while family was always important, they needed time apart to grow individually. Despite the separation, they maintained their family bond and found their way back to each other during the pandemic.
Taylor described that time as special, saying it all happened naturally and organically. It’s clear that their journey has brought them closer together.
