Barack Obama was seen dining alone in D.C. while Michelle skipped the event
He was there for the inauguration festivities, and it seems like he had a good time. People noticed him right away, and he was greeted with applause as he entered.
While he was friendly, he didn’t stop for photos, which is understandable. He was there with a small group, including President Biden’s Chief of Staff, Jeff Zients.
Interestingly, Michelle didn’t join him. She had just celebrated her birthday and decided to skip the inauguration. There’s been some chatter about their marriage, but Barack recently shared a sweet tribute to her, calling her the “love of his life.”
Michelle is no stranger to Osteria Mozza, having hosted a dinner there before. She’s been more focused on her life in Martha’s Vineyard since leaving D.C.
Sources say she’s not one to pretend to be excited about events she doesn’t want to attend. She’s always been genuine about where she shows up.
Barack, on the other hand, is expected to be at the inauguration, along with other former presidents. It’s clear they have their own paths, but they still support each other in their own ways.
