A student recalls the chaos and fear during the Nashville shooting at Antioch High School, leaving the community shaken.

Nashville: On Wednesday morning, a tragic shooting unfolded in the cafeteria at Antioch High School. Brandi Lemons, an 18-year-old senior, shared her experience of that terrifying moment.
She was heading into the cafeteria for lunch when she suddenly heard gunshots. “I heard a big pop, and we all turned around. Then there were three more pops, and we just took off running,” she explained.
Brandi was about to climb over a milk counter to escape when she spotted the shooter. He was a junior at the school, someone she didn’t know. In a shocking turn, he put the gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger.
According to the police, the 17-year-old suspect shot a 17-year-old girl, injured another student, and then took his own life. The third student only suffered a grazing wound.
After the chaos, Brandi ran through the kitchen and out the back exit, calling her dad to pick her up from the parking lot. She mentioned that everyone is feeling really shaken up.
“Right now, we’re scared and confused,” she said, reflecting the feelings of many students. Her father, Brandon Williams, a local pastor, expressed relief that his kids were safe but felt for those who weren’t.
He plans to organize prayer vigils and support for the community, saying, “We will definitely be praying.”
