Aldi is recalling Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos due to potential metal contamination, urging customers to discard them immediately

Washington D.C.: Aldi is recalling some frozen taquitos after reports of metal contamination. They announced this recall earlier this week.
The product in question is the Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos. Aldi said these taquitos might contain metal, which is definitely concerning.
This recall affects 20 oz. boxes with the UPC code 4061459337471. If you have any with best-by dates of 07/02/25 or 09/25/25, you should check your freezer.
These taquitos were sent to Aldi stores across 31 states, including Alabama, Florida, New York, and more. So, if you live in one of those areas, be sure to look out for them.
Aldi emphasizes that customer safety is their top priority. They recommend that anyone with these taquitos should throw them away or return them for a full refund.
They also expressed regret for any inconvenience this may cause. While recalls like this are rare, they do happen from time to time.
Last year, there was a similar situation with Perdue Foods recalling chicken nuggets due to metal contamination. It’s a reminder to always check your food products.
